Experience:

Julie McCord was elected to the office of Sandusky County Recorder in November 2024.

Prior to becoming Recorder, Julie was employed in the office since February 2022.  She also worked at the Ottawa County Recorder’s office from June 2004 -February 2013 and the Ottawa County Auditor’s office from February 2013 – February 2022, which provided her many years of historical records and land conveyance knowledge. 

Julie graduated from Port Clinton High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University and completed 2 ½ years of graduate work at the University of Dayton.

She is involved with many meaningful organizations, with a few including Lake Erie Shores Blue Star Mothers and the Ohio Recorders’ Association. 

Julie resides in Sandusky County with her fiancé, John.
